Here we go again....

Not sure if people still read this, but I need prayer.  Today, Belle is going in for an EEG. She had one of these as a toddler when we thought she was having seizures.  Some of you know she has been having what we think are migraines.  She'll wake up often at night. Sometimes she's crying in pain that "her eyes hurt". She'll be nauseous or vomit.  Sunday night this happened and she actually threw up 7 times. Her neurologist's nurse whom she hasn't seen in 4 years said just go see her normal doctor. We went in and was given anti nausea meds and told to keep a journal.  Later that day the neurologist called and said he was concerned with some of these symptoms and severity (another symptom is she won't look at you...she stares straight up and cries that she can't see while her eyes move around).  He asked to see her Wednesday, today.  I have had a hard time with this as it brought back all we've gone through with her.  I do most of this alone as it's hard for Jose to get away from work.  I hate driving in the cities and get caught up in worrying very easily.  Please pray for her, the doctor and me.  The last time I was there my Dad came with me for support, this has been another difficult angle I didn't expect. He was always there for me.

My Heart

I have been asked to further explain why I want to go to Africa.  Since I can’t speak with many of you in person I thought I would write out my thoughts.  I hope you will read this and truly see where my heart lies.

First I’d like to say that if you had asked me three or four years ago if I’d be willing to move even more than a couple hours away from my family, I’d say no way!  When I married Jose, my dad often teased him that he’s never going to take his daughter away to Omaha (where he’s from).  I was very much a daddy’s girl, and not only that but went to all my nieces and nephews events and saw my parents a couple times a month at least.

So what changed?  In October of 2008, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  In July of 2009 he passed away.  Watching him go through the treatments and come to terms with his terminal cancer was an amazing experience.  I lived with my mom and dad for the last week of his life and helped her care for him around the clock.  It was the hardest thing I have ever done but I would do it again in a heartbeat.  I learned more in those few months then I expect to for the rest of my life.  While he was sick he expressed what he had wished he had done, his regrets, his proud moments and what he will miss.  My dad was my world, and I was lost without him.

The year after Dad died I was in the worst place of my life.  I didn’t know how to live without my dad.  I had never made a decision without talking it through with him first.  I was angry with God for taking him from me.   My dad was a dreamer and always had me dreaming about my life someday and what I would be doing.  Without him I thought I was stuck.

I don’t remember exactly when it was, but I finally made it back to church.  I don’t even remember what the sermon was about exactly but I remember the pastor saying something about how God is my father.  Duh, a concept we’ve been taught since Sunday school.  But he went on to say not only is He your father, but He can be your Dad.  You can talk to Him like you would your Dad and have that relationship.  I so desperately wanted my dad back and I forgot that God, all along, has been there with open arms waiting for me!  At that point I broke down crying and it was then I allowed Him to be my Dad.

Now that you have this entire back story about how I was broken and then picked up by God, I can explain where Africa fits in.  Never before, since I became a Christian at age 16, had my relationship with God been so real.  I began to pray about His plans for my life.  Where do I fit in, what does He want for me?  He began to plant the seed for going overseas.  Of course I said, no, not me.  There must be something else.  But the feeling just would not go away.  God wanted me to teach children in another country about Him.  He knew my heart for children, education and orphans and had a plan.   I talked to Jose about it and he did not feel the same way.  He did not feel God talking to him.

I just kept praying about it.  The feeling never left but I figured it would never be if Jose was not called.  I quit the home daycare and began working at the YWCA.  Jose was unemployed for a year and got a job in St. Louis Park doing data processing.  We sold our house, moved closer to the city in an apartment; all along, not realizing that God had a plan.  One day Jose and I were talking and the subject of going overseas came up and he said he had been feeling a tug.  I took that tug and ran with it!  I put my resume on an online website for teachers who want to go overseas.  I began getting emails from schools.  After talking to a couple schools I had an interview with Bingham over the phone.  It felt perfect!  I felt God’s hand guiding me along.  Jose and I looked back at our almost 11 years of marriage and can see how He had been preparing us all along.

Most people take a year or more to prepare for going overseas.  We are on the fast track.  From interview with Bingham, to Teach Beyond acceptance, to fundraising; it was within a few months!   But now we are getting close to leaving.  We have just over two months before we are supposed to be in Addis working with Bingham.  We are trusting that God knows what He is doing and selling all our possessions.  We are not renewing our lease and jumping full in.

This is where you come in.  If you have made it through this long testimony you are just the person we need on our team!  We need prayer warriors to support us.  We need financial supporters as well to allow us to do God’s work.   Without people like you, these children at Bingham will never have the chance to know what it’s like to be around the Sturgeon’s!  J  Of course, I’m kidding about that, but we truly do believe we are meant for these jobs at Bingham and would love to have our friends and family behind us!

The kids will get to experience a developing country and share God’s love in their own way.  They will also get to experience learning from other Godly teachers at Bingham as students.  I am so excited for the opportunity for them.   I will get to teach Kindergarten as well as share God’s word with children!  Jose will get to plan sporting activities and work with local youth from Addis.  You can be part of these great things God has planned!  If you’re interested in knowing more, please message or email me or Jose.  We are willing to travel to see you, speak on the phone or whatever’s easiest.  Thank you for all your support!

Love - Jesi

Going to Africa

So maybe I should pick back up on blogging considering our huge life change and all??!!

We are moving to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, sometime before August 1 which is when I need to be there. I will be teaching Kindergarten and Jose will be working with the extra curricular activities as well as Horizon Boys, an outreach to local boys in the community. We have a lot to do, a lot to get rid of, and a lot of support to build. Please be in prayer for our family.

If you are interested in supporting us, I will be posting information on how to do that soon. It is also on facebook if you are friends with me on there.

I look forward to giving more details soon about what exactly we'll be doing and what Bingham Academy is all about.

Stay tuned!

We're moving

We will be moving to a 3 bedroom apartment in Minnetonka on October 21st! We are excited and terrified all at once. This means getting rid of over half of our things...but that's just it. They're just things. Yesterday in church our pastor talked about a verse in Matthew 19 (can't remember which one) and paraphrased it saying if we cling to things and God decides to take them away then we will have a hard time obeying. It has been a rough few weeks as we try to decide what to get rid of, but yesterday after church we decided to trust. We know that God is with us and even if no one else understands why we made this decision, He does. We are at the brook like Elijah, not understanding God's plan. We are scared and it doesn't make sense, but we trust God and know He has a reason. So we sell some things and give away a lot. Yesterday we had a lot of neighbors over going through our things and taking them to be their own. It was nice to be able to help them; to be able to give.

Jose's job is going well. Mine too. Once we move he will be 8 miles from work and I will be 13 miles. No more 1 hour drive each way! The kids will be in a new school. Isaiah was diagnosed with ADHD and a learning disorder a couple weeks ago. This school is large and has many resources and I'm excited he will get all the help he needs! Lucy went back to the breeders to find a new home and it was very sad. Princess will go to live with my Mom and Roscoe and Toby will come with us to the apartment.

So much change. So scary. Sad. But I trust...

My apologies

I'm writing!! I have an hour and a half to kill before I work our carnival tonight, so it's a good time. What's new with the Sturgeon's?? Well quite a bit, actually!

Jesi: I've been at the YWCA for a year and 2 months now. I really enjoy it but still long for the day when I am more in a leadership role and not in a classroom. Which I think I'm on my way to. My boss spoke with me yesterday and I was chosen to go with her to go to Orlando for a conference in November! She wants me to begin working on trainings for our staff and eventually others for our curriculum developed by the Y on anti-bias as well as help create a mentoring program. She had very good things to say about my work so far and it felt good to know that all that I put into my work is being observed and paying off!
I am working on my health as well. I have changed my eating habits and am incorporating exercise in hopes to feel better both physically and emotionally in my body. I have stopped treatment for the eating disorder temporarily for money and time management purposes. So far so good, and I have lost 10 pounds.
This Saturday marks the two year anniversary of my dad's death. My anxiety has been higher than it has this week and the dreams/nightmares are back. I miss him terribly still but I think about it less. But when I do...

Jose: Jose has been unemployed for a year and 4 months. He had an interview this week at a company called Japs-Olsen on Wednesday. It was a 3 1/2 hour interview consisting of tests, and questions! They called him within a half hour and offered him the job! The job is a lot like what he was doing at FiveStar with data programming for direct mail. This company is much larger and very professional (shirt and tie). He will be getting more money and get paid over time, which they say there is a lot of! It will be second shift, so we will need only minimal daycare each day. He's very excited but nervous to get back out there. I remember feeling that way after 4 years of doing home daycare. But it'll be so great for him and I know he'll strive.

Audri: Audri's 9 years old now. She is enjoying summer break by riding her new bike and reading. She plays with her cousins as much as possible. I can't believe she will be in 4th grade this fall! Audri is currently working on saving money for either a dog (which she has been told she will not get as we already have 2) or american girl stuff. She is beginning to do chores now and she is a very good helper with her siblings. It's amazing at how grown up she can be!

Isaiah: Isaiah is 6 years old now. He is enjoying his summer break by playing video games as much as his parents will allow and playing at the park. He will be in 1st grade in the fall, though we considered holding him back. His teacher felt he was ready for 1st, but I was concerned about his social skills and impulsive behaviors. He was starting to have issues with the other kids at school. I've decided to keep him in 1st because we are taking him in for some evaluations and assessments at Fraser. I think if he can get an IEP (I'm suspecting ADHD or some other impulsive disorder) he will get more help at school and have more success. His aggression and anger seems to have gotten worse in the last few weeks and he's really struggling. He can be the sweetest though, especially when he's praying before dinner. He prays the most honest and caring prayers!

Isabelle: Belle is 3, she will be 4 in November. I struggle with how fast the time went with my "baby". She still loves to snuggle and tells me every day when I get home that she missed me so much, loves me and I'm her best friend. She is interested in cooking, serving and bugging her brother these days. She is not girly, as in dolls and dress up. She likes to do anything she can to make sure her brother screams and gets mad. She is almost always moving and loves it outside and especially water. We are either going to be signing her up for preschool this fall, or she may be coming to my work with me if we can afford it. Her development seems right up there with her peers except for her motor skills, which the doctors said will always be a bit behind. A person just meeting her would never know she had such struggles up until now.

Princess, Roscoe, Toby and Lucy: They are all doing fine! Just had to throw the pets in there to remind everyone of how crazy we are and how loud our house is!!

So there's a long overdue update. I'll work on getting some pictures up this weekend. I have Friday off as well, so hopefully I'll make the time. I miss my friends so I'd love to hear from you. God is working in our lives and I pray He is seen in yours as well.

Warning: May create anxiety by reading

Well maybe that's just me?! We have a lot going on in our lives right now. Thought I'd update some and ask for prayers.

  • Jose is going in for an interview with Best Buy on Monday. We are praying for it to work out with our schedule and finances and that if it's mean to be it'll all fall into place.
  • My sister is in the hospital after having her pancreas, spleen and appendix removed. She has chronic pancreatitis and she had a major surgery to hopefully alleviate the pain and sickness that comes with that. She will possibly be severely diabetic, but we are hoping her islet cells they transferred to her liver will take and help with this. She has a long painful road to recovery. You can read her blog at www.carepages.com/carepages/journey4jen
  • My godmother (second cousin) has bladder cancer and just had her bladder, uterus and appendix removed and the word is it has spread. I'm still waiting for more information.
  • Jose's stepdad, Don, was just diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I don't know too many details right now, but it instantly brought back the painful journey with my dad.
  • My dog I got when I was about 16 will be put to sleep on Tuesday. I will be taking him, as my mom doesn't think she can, to be put to sleep. He is the best dog ever and it's very sad.
  • I finally hired an assistant teacher at work and she had her first week with us. She seems to be a good fit so far!
  • Isabelle graduated from going to Mayo clinic. She still is diagnosed with mild hypotonia but no longer seems to have developmental delay!!
  • Isaiah's impulsiveness and temper has recently spread to school. I had a conference and he is being aggressive to the other children and having a hard time staying on task. I will be bringing him to a child psychologist, recommended by my pediatrician, to get some behavioral therapy for him and possible further testing. Just when one graduates appointments and therapies, another begins.
  • Audri is excelling in dance and school. She still recieves Title I for math and is helping tremendously.
  • I painted my basement a couple weekends ago and it looks great. I am behind in hanging things on my walls in the girls' rooms and the basement, but it'll get done.....
  • My family and I will be walking in the JDRF walk at the mall of america and any donations would be greatly appreciated. We walk in support of those with juvenile diabetes, like my niece Hannah, in hopes for a cure!
  • I am still taking time for my eating disorder treatment. I did not realize that they diagnosed me with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder on top of the eating disorder NOS until a couple weeks ago. So treatment is necessary but can be overwhelming at times.

Alright, I think that's it for now. Does it seem like a lot to handle to anyone else?? I keep telling myself one thing at a time, one day at a time. My dad would say why worry about tomorrow, all that does is ruin today. Easier said then done sometimes. I hope you are all well and appreciate having you in our lives!

Another post??

Could it be that I am posting again?? Before I get back into doing this regularly, are there people out there still reading? I haven't gotten any comments or feedback on the last two posts so I want to make sure it's worthwhile to keep blogging and it's not just me talking to myself, ya know?

So I've been sick, really sick. Last Wednesday I left work early with stomach issues. Let's just say it takes skill to make it on a 45 minute bus ride when things are trying to come out both ends. I made it...and had to stop 4 different times on the rest of my 45 minute drive home to ... I felt a tad better Thursday, but stayed home. Friday was a training day for work so I went to that and my throat was bothering me. I figured it would after vomiting way too much. Jose left Friday night to go have a weekend in Iowa with his brothers and to see a Huskers game (his favorite football game). Saturday morning I woke up and my throat hurt really bad! I kept thinking it would go away and I promised Audri I'd take her somewhere, so we went. I ended up stopping at the minute clinic and sure enough...strep throat! So I survived the weekend by myself with the kiddos and crazy animals and my throat kept getting tighter. The second Jose got home Sunday evening I went to the ER and they gave me a steroid and stronger meds. I missed work again on Monday and have been back since. But probably should have been home on Tuesday too for sure. Life does not stop when Mom is sick, however. But anyway, I'm starting to feel better and getting back into things after a week of sickness. No one else seems to have gotten it thankfully!

So where did I take Audri you ask? To order her glasses! We've known since before school started she'd probably need them. We have been without insurance since March and the county finally approved them and we got insurance on November 1st. That's a long time for kids and no insurance. So Audri has glasses now and could not be more excited. In fact, she was up and dressed and watching cartoons at 4:30 this morning when I got up for work. I had to explain she could sleep for 2 more hours still! She is constantly talking about how clear things are and no longer has to be right in front of the TV or books to see. I'm glad this is a positive for her as I know some kids don't like the idea. We are pretty sure with Jose and my vision that all our kids will need glasses at some point, so this was a good experience. And now for the picture...

Too busy

So what's going on in the Sturgeon household? Too much to keep up with, hence the no writing! Writing on my blog is one of the things I've put on hold while I try to keep up. I decided to start this entry in hopes I can add to it each day and post it by the weekend. Who knows, maybe I'll get a burst of energy and time and finish it up before then! To make it easier I will do bullets for each person and what they're up to.

Isabelle:

  • Graduated all therapies! She no longer has an IFSP in place and seems to have caught up in most areas. She still has minor delays but not enough to qualify for services.

  • Potty training! She is in underwear almost always at home and pull ups elsewhere. Still has accidents but gets better each day.

  • Turns 3 in a month! I can hardly believe it's been 3 years since she was born. She has come so far and is just a joyful little girl.

Isaiah:

  • Started Kindergarten! He is going to half day kindergarten and loves it. His teacher was his Sunday school teacher when he was 2 and loves him. He is doing well in all areas except fine motor and that's because he's a young 5 since he has a summer birthday. No concerns.

  • Played soccer this summer. He seemed to enjoy it, though he didn't understand when someone took the ball from him and fought with another boy that had been going to my daycare.

  • Is still very into super heroes and at times can get carried away pretending to be one and hurting his sisters. He still has too much aggression and is impulsive in his behavior at home. No one else seems to have that problem (school, etc)

Audri:

  • Is in 3rd grade! She still enjoys school but is struggling with math. I was the same way, excelled in english/writing and needed help in math. She will begin Title I for math which will give her 20 minutes a day of extra help with the lesson.

  • Needs glasses! We have been waiting for insurance since March and will finally get it November 1. She had an eye exam and does need glasses for near sightedness.

  • Still loves dance. It began again this month and she loves it. Her class is again small and they are working on flexibility and the splits this year which she can already do!

Jose:

  • Has been the stay-at-home Dad since the end of March. He is finding his groove and does well!
  • When I went to work at the end of May he ran the daycare until the beginning of July and then we closed it down. Originally to allow space for my sister and her kids to move in, but that didn't happen.
  • Is working hard on himself, figuring out what he wants to do next and how he is as a father and husband. I am honored to have him in my life and respect his dedication to us.

Jesi:

  • Have been at my job for 5 months. I really enjoy my job. It has many challenges that keep me busy and give me a sense of purpose. I recently had to fire my assistant teacher and it is showing me a lot about myself as I deal with it all.
  • Have been attending an eating disorder group for 11 weeks. It goes for 16 weeks. I am again learning a lot about myself and how my eating disorder affects all areas of my life.
  • Miss my kids terribly and struggle with the career woman and super mom within me and am desperately working towards finding the balance.

Sturgeon household:

  • we bought a puppy a few weeks ago. Her name is Lucy, she is 6 months old and is a St. Bernard! Yes we are crazy. She weighs over 70 pounds now and will get between 150 and 200 pounds full grown. She is beautiful and a well behaved puppy. We will be signing up for obedience training soon as she will outweigh us shortly and we have to make sure we have the control!
  • Since closing the daycare we have been working on our basement. It is now our family room. The wallpaper is coming off slowly but hopefully that will be done soon and then we can paint.
  • Audri moved to the bedroom downstairs so now all the kids have their own rooms. Audri is so glad to not have Belle getting into all her things! She had to sleep down there for a week before we moved any of her things to make sure she wouldn't be scared or not like it.

Well that's all I can think of for now. I will work on getting some photos too. I would love to hear from you too. My social life is also on the back burner and I really miss friends!

My two-miracle day!

THIS IS A STORY I WROTE 5 YEARS AGO. WEDNESDAY MARKED THE ANNIVERSARY AND I THOUGHT I'D SHARE ONCE AGAIN.

God shows himself to us in many different ways. It’s something we all know and may have experienced at some point in our lives, but either look over it as a coincidence or it gets forgotten in our every day lives. I have a story to share that I hope no one will forget; I know I won’t. God showed himself to me in my “two-miracle day.”

On June 23, 2005 I went in to the hospital to be induced. My husband and I have a 3 year old daughter and were about to meet our second child in a few hours. The induction went well, everything progressed the way it was supposed to and at 3:02 pm we met our first miracle of the day - Isaiah Michael Sturgeon. He was 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 20 ½ inches. He is absolutely beautiful! We experienced a reminder of God’s wonderful ways. The birth of a child brings His presence to a reality and your ultimate joy and thankfulness to Him overflows.

We spent the day with visitors and just enjoying finally holding what I carried inside me for 9 months. My husband was filled with so much love for his son that he was glowing, as was I. He held him more then anyone else that day, and the camera was barely put down. Visiting hours were over at 9 pm, and we spent some quiet time together, just Daddy, Mommy, and Isaiah. We talked about the day and our overwhelming feelings of love for each other and our children. 10:00 came around and my husband was feeling his hunger pains from not eating all day. He decided to call it a day and head home to eat and get a good nights rest so he could come back and see more visitors and spend the day with us. After he left I spent some alone time with Isaiah. I talked to him about how glad I was to see him and hold him. I said a prayer to God, thanking him for my son and that everything went as well as it did. I then got pretty sleepy and decided to bring him to the nursery so I could get a good nights rest as well.

At 11:20pm, the phone rang. I had been asleep for maybe 20 minutes. I answer it, in my daze of sleepiness, and I hear my husband’s voice. He’s saying, “Jes, Jes, something bad’s happened!” I answered with, “What? What do you mean?” My mind was still waking up and trying to comprehend what he was saying. He continued to say something about our daughter Audri. I started crying, thinking, what happened to Audri? He was talking so fast and said, “I was in an accident, the car’s totaled, I think I broke my shoulder or collar bone!” I was crying pretty hard at this point and he said, “I’m ok, I’m ok. I was on my way to get Audri because she wouldn’t sleep at your sisters. There was a raccoon in the road. I hit the brakes to give it a chance to move; my wheel hit the gravel and I went in the ditch.” This was basically the end of the conversation, I tried to get him to talk more and he was not answering me. He hung up and I sat, still trying to fully comprehend what was going on. I called my sister, who told me she talked to the man who found him and the man said he doesn’t even know how my husband is alive. He had called an ambulance and they were on their way.

I then realized that if he’s going to be coming here by ambulance, then I have to find a way to get to him. I had just had a baby 8 hours ago, were they going to let me leave my room? So I called a nurse and filled her in, absolutely hysterical. She got permission from her supervisor, and they were going to wheel me to the ER once the ambulance got there with him. It took at least 45 minutes. Meanwhile, I’m in my room praying and screaming that my husband is ok. All kinds of thoughts ran through my head about losing him and how at least I got a lot of pictures of him with Isaiah. Finally they came to get me and I went to the waiting room. My family came to be there with me and we waited almost another hour before I could see him. They just kept telling me that he was in x-ray.

They finally came at about 1 am to bring me back to him. I walked back there and saw my husband, who just hours before was glowing over his son, laying on a bed, his shirt cut open, a neck brace holding him still and IV’s in his arm. He was on a lot of morphine, but was able to talk to me. The doctor came and said it was a broken collar bone, sprained neck and some scrapes. He continued to say that he heard that he’s even lucky to be alive. I got used to hearing that phrase throughout the next few days. This was the second miracle of the day.

My husband stayed with me in my room; they had a great recliner for him. The nurses took care of both of us and we ended up being pretty famous on the floor. All the nurses had to come in and see all “three” patients and hear the story. The next day my sister brought pictures of the car. We were told we weren’t ready to see them. We looked in awe at the pictures. All the damage was right where he had been sitting. He had broken a telephone pole in four places and the car ended up upside down. When we were alone after seeing those pictures, the two of us hugged and sobbed together. I was praying in my head to God, “Thank you Lord! You have saved my husband. I know you have a purpose for us and a lesson to learn.” We talked about what God had in mind for us. We came up with the lessons of not taking anything for granted. The bickering and petty little fights mean nothing. God provides us with everything we need and more. We have a beautiful family and each other all because of Him. He also is using this for our faith and trust in him. We are prideful people and we tend to think that we provide for ourselves, when actually God is in charge. Now that this has happened, and we both will be out of work for awhile, we know that we can’t do it without the grace of God. God will have to have his hand in our lives for our bills and just our everyday living.

The next few days went by and we concentrated on recovering and just enjoying our family. We were both in awe that we were still together and able to raise our children. On the 27th, we decided it was time to go see the car. We had our friend come with us to watch the kids in the car and we headed out to the salvage yard. It was a stormy day and I prayed the whole way there that God would allow a stop in the rain long enough for us to see. We got there, and God did just that. It was just long enough for us to see the door and roof smashed in where my husband was sitting, just long enough to see the whole back window broken and in the back seat where my daughter would have been sitting, and just long enough for emotions to overwhelm us and for us to once again thank God for his presence at the accident to save him.

We then decided to drive to the scene of the accident. It was still relatively dry, so we were able to drive and look for the site. As we were getting to the spot where we thought the accident was, the winds started blowing and the rain poured and turned into hail. I couldn’t see the road and we had to pull over. We never did see the site at that time and decided to try and wait out the storm at the grocery store. My friend had to go home and so we had decided to stop on our way home and try one more time to find it. Well, we did. My husband got out and starting walking in the ditch while I pulled into a close by driveway. As I was doing so, I see a car pull up beside him and they were shaking hands. I got out of our car, and the other car pulled up along side me. I asked who the gentlemen was, and my husband said, “This is the man who saved me.” I was in shock and just stared at him. I was about to cry and the man came over and hugged me. All I could say was thank you, thank you so much. He wanted to see our new baby, because my husband had told him at the accident that his wife had just had a baby. So he peeked in and saw Isaiah. I asked him for his information so we could send him something and he just said he was glad to see my husband was ok. What are the odds of them both being at the scene again?

So once again, God showed his presence that we were able to see the man that saved my husband’s life and thank him for stopping. If he hadn’t stopped, who knows what might have happened. The rain had started up earlier in the day so we didn’t see the site at that time, because God knew what it would mean to us to be able to have that closure of thanking that wonderful man.

So this was my story of my two-miracle day. God gave me a son, and also gave me my husband. My husband was meant to live; there’s a reason he’s here. God wants us to share this testimony with as many people as we can to send his lesson on. Please don’t take your life for granted. We hear God gives us life and he also takes it away. These both almost happened to our family in a matter of hours. Cherish your time with your loved ones and when at times you are upset with someone you love, try to think about your life without them. Is this fight really worth losing time away from loving them? Also, please trust in God. God provides for us even when we don’t feel we deserve it. Don’t be too proud to accept what God has to give you. God gives through others at times, and though it may be hard to receive, just remember that this is from God and He loves you. Take every day as a new day and spend it loving God and your family, not worrying about how you’re going to pay for something. If you spend your time loving God and trusting God, all those other parts of your day will fall in place. And you will be that much happier in the end.
