Isaiah's conference went well last night. His teacher said he's a lot of fun and cute. He is right on track with where he should be at a young three year old in preschool. She said he plays well with the other kids and is participating in the activities. I asked if she sees any of the spirited'ness' that we see - such as tantrums, bossyness, screaming, etc. She said she can't even imagine him acting like that. She almost didn't believe me when I said he did that often at home! Which is great news for me - I must be doing something right for him to behave somewhere else. Always nice to hear good things about your kids.
Belle's appointment went well with the cardiologist. He listened and the murmur's gone. Vitals were good and growth is good. He wants to see her again in a year to see how the scar tissue heals and if all is well at that check up we will be done with the cardiologist. He showed us the plug they used to close it and the catheter. Hard to explain in writing, but very cool for us to see. She won't have to take medication at the dentist or worry about contact sports or anything. She basically has a perfectly normal heart now. We see her pediatrician tomorrow for her one year check up and leave Monday for Mayo clinic.

What good news about both of your kiddos!
Matt and Jose keep playing phone tag...we would really like to catch up with you, but apparently a comment on the blog might have to make do for now! We've been busy with our rotation in neurology at the VA; our last day is tomorrow and then we have an exam on Friday. Matt's mom is in the hospital for the fourth time in the past month, and is not doing well. We've been trying to spend a lot of time with them at the hospital and nursing home recently. Matt's brother Charlie and his wife Olivia came out for Thanksgiving so the whole family could be together. Next week we're going to Chicago to take a licensing exam, and then we start our interviews for residency! Should be a little slower schedule, but we'll probably be spending a lot of time with Matt's parents. Hope you guys are doing ok--we will get together sometime, we promise! Hi to Jose and the kids!
